1.1 喜洋洋（民乐合奏 | Full of Happiness – Ensemble Performance)
《喜洋洋》是一首喜庆的民乐作品，以轻快明亮的旋律和流畅的节奏展现出欢乐祥和的气氛。作为中国传统音乐中经常出现的经典曲目，《喜洋洋》象征着幸福和吉祥，其旋律灵动而活泼，充满了节日的气息。本曲通过各种民族乐器的合作，将喜悦的情感表现得淋漓尽致，是一首充满生命力和感染力的开场曲目。

1.2. 步步高（民乐合奏 | Step by Step High – Ensemble Performance)

1.3. 金蛇狂舞（民乐合奏 | Dance of Golden Snake – Ensemble Performance)

2. 乌兰巴托的夜（葫芦丝独奏 | Night of Ulaanbaatar – Hulusi Solo)

Night of Ulaanbaatar is a soulful and romantic hulusi solo that uses its gentle melody to portray the serene beauty of a night on the Mongolian grasslands. The piece evokes the grandeur of the steppe and the tranquil atmosphere under the starry sky. The hushed tones of the hulusi mimic the whispers of the night breeze, offering the audience a dreamlike musical experience.
3. 秦桑曲（古筝独奏 | Qin Sang Tune – Guzheng Solo)

《秦桑曲》是一首由西安音乐学院两位教授强增抗和周延甲创作的筝曲。这首曲子取材于唐代诗人李白的《春思》只中的“燕草如碧丝，秦桑低绿枝”一句，借用“秦桑”一词作为曲名。《秦桑曲》的旋律委婉、缠绵、优美且富有激情，伴随着轻淡素雅的伴奏音乐，描绘了一位深情的妙龄女子思念家乡和亲人的情感，表达了她盼望早日与家人团聚的迫切心情。这首曲子不仅继承了陕西地方戏曲““碗碗腔”的音调，还运用了戏曲板腔体的各种板式转换，展现了陕西音乐的独特风格。
“Qin Sang Melody” is a guzheng piece composed by two professors from Xi’an Conservatory of Music, Qiang Zengkang and Zhou Yanjia. The inspiration for this piece comes from a line in Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai’s “Spring Longing”: “燕草如碧丝，秦桑低绿枝” (“Swallows’ grass is as green as jade silk; Qin mulberries droop with verdant branches”). The term “Qin Sang” is borrowed as the title of the composition.
The melody of Qin Sang Melody is delicate, tender, graceful, and passionate. Accompanied by simple and elegant background music, it vividly portrays the emotions of a young woman deeply longing for her hometown and loved ones, expressing her fervent hope for an early reunion with her family. This piece not only inherits the melodic characteristics of the Shaanxi local opera style “Wanwanqiang,” but also incorporates various structural transformations typical of traditional operatic forms. Through this, it showcases the unique musical style of Shaanxi.
4. 梁祝（古筝合奏 | Butterfly Lovers – Guzheng Ensemble)

5. 长相思（二胡二重奏 | Yearning – Erhu Duet)
《长相思》以深情的旋律描绘了对远方亲人的思念。二胡的音色深沉而悠扬，两把二胡交织出一场情感对话，触动听众的心弦。

7. 梨园情（京胡与月琴| Jinghu and Yueqin Duet)

Love for the Opera is a classic piece performed with jinghu and yueqin as the primary instruments, showcasing the unique charm of traditional Chinese opera music. The piece weaves the jinghu’s sharp and bright tones with the yueqin’s mellow and soulful resonance, creating a captivating melody that embodies the essence of opera art. Through this piece, the audience will experience not only the elegance and intensity of traditional opera music but also the profound emotions inherent in China’s operatic heritage.
8. 雨打芭蕉（高胡，古筝 | Raindrops on Banana Leaves – Gaohu and Guzheng)
Gaohu: Guangqing Liu（刘广庆） Guzheng: Jiaxiang Li（李家骧）
广东音乐源于广东粤剧中的过场音乐和小的唱段，在中国漫长的音乐历史中属于一个新兴的音乐乐种。它吸收了一些东南亚地区的音乐元素与岭南，潮州地区的音乐相结合，形成了自己轻快，流畅，诙谐，俏皮的音乐特点。
乐曲《雨打芭蕉》以高胡与古筝合作，描绘出雨滴敲打芭蕉叶的自然美景。旋律清新流畅，带有浓厚的岭南风情。
Guangdong music originated from the interlude music and small singing sections in Guangdong Cantonese opera. It is a relatively new musical genre in the long history of Chinese music. It incorporates musical elements from Southeast Asia and combines them with the music of the Lingnan and Chaozhou regions, forming its own distinctive characteristics of being light, smooth, humorous, and playful.
Raindrops on Banana Leaves combines the gaohu and guzheng to portray the natural beauty of raindrops tapping on banana leaves. The fresh and flowing melody is rich in Lingnan regional charm.
9.1. 花好月圆（民乐合奏 | Blossoms and Full Moon – Ensemble Performance)
《花好月圆》旋律优美动人，寓意幸福美满和家庭团聚。作为经典民乐曲目，它常在节庆场合演奏，带给人对未来生活的美好期许。
Blossoms and Full Moon features a graceful and touching melody, symbolizing happiness and family reunion. As a classic in Chinese folk music, it is often performed at festive events, evoking aspirations for a prosperous future.
9.2. 京剧曲牌联奏（民乐合奏 | Beijing Opera Melody Medley – Ensemble Performance)
这组联奏曲目选取了多首经典京剧曲牌，展示了戏曲音乐的丰富内涵与独特韵味，充满传统文化的气息。
This medley features several classic Beijing opera melodies, showcasing the rich essence and distinctive charm of opera music. It brims with the spirit of traditional culture.
Our Musicians
谢振刚先生是京胡大师，胡梅女士是月琴大师，他们是一对夫妻档，1998年的《当代戏剧家传略》中将他们列为杰出音乐家之一。胡女士还参与编辑了该传略。在中国，谢先生作为顶尖的“程派”京剧京胡演奏家，与包括北京京剧院和国家京剧院在内的许多顶级京剧团体一起表演和录制了多场京胡独奏和月琴演奏。除了演奏传统的京剧曲目外，谢先生还参与了许多新京剧的制作，如京剧电视连续剧《曹雪芹》和新京剧《白娘子出塔》。谢先生还曾在北京人民大会堂参加过春节庆祝活动，并受到江泽民主席等中国高级政府官员的接见。
自1999年移居美国以来，这对夫妻将中国音乐，尤其是京剧，带给了他们所在的社区。在2000年到2020年期间居住在辛辛那提时，谢振刚和胡梅女士在该地区的音乐厅、学校和大学进行演出。与辛辛那提大学交响乐团合作，他们演奏了《夜深沉》、《乔家大院》和《山神》等协奏曲。谢振刚和胡梅女士现居住在明尼苏达州普利茅斯市，与他们的儿子、明尼苏达管弦乐团首席巴松管谢飞及其家人相邻。

Jing hu master Mr. Zhengang Xie and yue qin master Ms. Mei Hu, a husband and wife team, are listed as members of the elite group among the musicians in the Directory of Current Chinese Artists of 1998, which Ms. Hu participated editing. While in China, as the top “Cheng” style Peaking Opera fiddler, Mr. Xie and Ms. Hu performed and recorded as solo jing hu and yue qin players with many top Beijing Opera houses, including the Beijing Opera House and National Opera House. In addition to performing transitional Peking Opera repertoire, Xie has participated in many new opera productions, such as the Peking Opera TV show Cao Xueqin and the new opera The Legend of The White Snake. Xie has also performed in the Great Hall of People in Beijing during a Lunar New Year celebration, and was greeted by the Chairman Jiang Zemin, among other top Chinese government officials.
Since moving to the U.S. in 1999, the couple has brought Chinese music, particularly Peking Opera, to their community. While living in Cincinnati from 2000 to 2020, Xie and Hu performed in concert halls, schools, and universities around the region. In collaborations with University of Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, they performed concertos such as In the Dark Night, The Qiao Family Compound and The God of Mountain. Xie and Hu currently reside in Plymouth, Minnesota, near their son, Minnesota Orchestra Principal Bassoon Fei Xie, and his family. Mr. Xie and Ms Hu performed in 2022 and 2024 Lunar New Year concert with Minnesota Orchestra.
古筝演奏家李家骧自幼随父学习扬琴，阮等乐器。后随范上娥老师学习古筝。
1981年进入北京舞蹈学院民乐队工作。中国音乐家协会会员。
1995年旅居美国明尼苏达州，明尼阿波利斯市从事古筝演出和教学以及中国音乐的普及工作。
2005年创建乡音筝苑。十多年来，带领学生一起参加社区的各项活动，更加广泛地传播中国的古老文化。多年来培养了许多古筝学生以及古筝爱好者。 在2021年，他为双子城地区的华人社区提供了一场名为“古筝的传承与发展”在线讲座，受到了观众的热烈欢迎。
Guzheng artist Mr Jiaxiang Li studied yangqin, ruan, and other musical instruments under his father’s guidance from very young age. Later, he studied the guzheng with Ms Fan Shange, a renowned guzheng artist in China.
In 1981, Mr. Li joined the Chinese traditional music ensemble at the Beijing Dance Academy. He became a member of the Chinese Musicians’ Association.
In 1995, Mr. Li moved to Minnesota. He has engaged in guzheng performances, teaching, and promoting Chinese music in Minneapolis.
In 2005, Mr. Li founded the Xiangyin Zhengyuan. Over the past decade, he has led students to participate in various community activities, spreading Chinese traditional culture more widely. Over the years, Mr. Li has nurtured numerous guzheng students and enthusiasts in Minnesota.
In 2021, he gave an online “Lecture on the Heritage and Development of the Guzheng” to the Chinese communities in the Twin cities that was well received by the audiences.
管小滨先生是一位资深的二胡和小提琴演奏家，拥有超过35年的经验。他曾担任华盛顿二胡协会会长，并是华盛顿中国传统乐团的成员。他在华盛顿特区的肯尼迪艺术中心、马里兰州北贝塞斯达的斯特拉斯莫尔音乐厅、巴尔的摩市的约瑟夫·迈耶霍夫交响音乐厅以及北京的国家大剧院等场所进行演出。管先生曾带领乐团在华盛顿民俗音乐节上多次演出，并受到了好评。他曾与马晓晖、孔燕燕、李立群、乔纳森·卡尼和朱昌耀等世界知名艺术家合作演出。他还荣获2022年第五届敦煌杯中国二胡演奏比赛铜奖。同时，他也是密西西比河谷管弦乐团的第一小提琴手。
Mr. Guan is an accomplished erhu and violin performer and teacher with over 35 years of experience. He was the president of Washington Erhu Association and a member of Washington Chinese Traditional Orchestra. He has performed in the venues such as The Kennedy Center (Washington DC), Strathmore (North Bethesda, MD), The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphany Hall (Baltimore, MD) and National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing, China). Mr. Guan had led the group to perform at the Washington Folk Festival for several seasons and was well received. He has performed with world-renowned artists such as Ma Xiaohui, Kong Yanyan, Li Liqun, Jonathan Carney and Zhu Changyao. He was the bronze medal winner of Fifth Dunhuang Cup Chinese Erhu Performance Competition in 2022. He is also a member (in the first violin section) of the Mississippi Valley Orchestra.
刘广庆先生自幼习京胡，青年时期师从国俊明改习二胡。演艺生涯多年，尤其擅长演奏二胡、京胡与高胡等拉弦乐器。移居美国后，组创明州二胡协会，多次受邀及组织团队参加各类艺术表演；热心传承器乐技巧，借此弘扬民族器乐文化。
Mr Guangqing Liu studied the jinghu when he was very young. Later on, he switched to erhu under the guidance of Guo Junming. He has rich performing career spanning many years. He has particularly excelled in playing string instruments such as the erhu, jinghu, and gaohu. After relocating to the United States, He founded the Minnesota Erhu Association and have been frequently invited to participate in various artistic performances, both individually and by organizing groups. He is passionate about passing down instrumental skills and use this passion to promote the cultural heritage of traditional Chinese instrumental music.
黄宁生博士是明尼苏达州邓伍迪（Dunwoody）学院的教授。他曾是中国科技大学交响乐团的长笛演奏员，并在北京的“假日电声乐队”担任架子鼓手。近年来，他热衷于传播中国文化，促进中美文化交流，在双子城地区担任太极拳教练。他能演奏一些中国传统乐器，如竹笛和葫芦丝，同时也是手风琴演奏者。
Ningsheng Huang, Ph.D, professor at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minnesota. He was a flute player in Symphony Orchestra of University of Science and Technology of China and drum set player in a band in Beijing. In recent years, he is keen on spreading Chinese culture and promoting Sino-US cultural exchanges, serving as a Tai Chi instructor in the Twin-cities area. He plays some Chinese traditional musical instruments, such as bamboo flute and hulusi. He is an accordion player as well.
陈婉雯女士毕业于广州市音乐教育专业，曾在广州市担任小学音乐教师，指挥合唱团获得广州市中小学合唱节第一名。在八十年代常驻流行音乐厅担任键盘手。来到美国明州后曾任常青老人中心音乐教师和男女声小组唱、小合唱指挥，霍普金斯社区中心课外班老师。能演奏小提琴，大提琴，键盘和口琴。
Ms. Wanwen Chen, also known as Vivian Chen, graduated in Music Education from Guangzhou City. She worked as an elementary school music teacher in Guangzhou, where she conducted a choir that achieved first place in the Guangzhou Primary and Secondary School Choral Festival. In the 1980s, she was a regular performer at a popular music hall. After moving to Minnesota, USA, she served as a music teacher at the Legacy Adult Daycare Center, conducting male and female vocal groups and small choirs. She also taught extracurricular classes at the Hopkins Community Center. Additionally, she plays the violin, cello, and keyboard.
朱峰博士是波士顿科学公司的软件工程高级专家。他曾是北京大学民乐团的二胡演奏员，并且是明尼苏达二胡协会的成员。近年来，他积极参与双城地区的社区音乐活动，通过独奏、合奏和乐团等方式表演。
Feng Zhu, Ph.D, a Software Engineering Fellow at Boston Scientific Corporation. He was an erhu player in the Chinese Musical Ensemble at Peking University. He is also a member of Minnesota Erhu Association. In recent years, he has been active in participating community musical events around the twin cities through solo, group and ensembles.
